Making Infographics

Introduction

Infographics are becoming more and more widespread. These images help to make boring information come alive and allow the reader to easily digest the information. Whilst some of the best infographics are custom made there are various tools that allow you to create your own easily. Here is my list of good infographics tools.

Visual.ly

This is one of my favourites as it allows you to log in using a facebook or twitter account and then sets about creating an infographic about you. This is not the most customisable site and is constantly developing but it is interesting to see what kinds of facts it can highlight about your own social media stream.

Easel.ly

Easelly is a lot more versatile. It allows you to create graphics from scratch. You will have to do your own digging for data but this tool will allow you to create a great infographic with great customisation. To start with the site has some great templates to give you some basic inspiration but beyond that it allows you to stretch your imagination and really create something special.

Infogr.am

This tool is my favourite as it allows you to create all kinds of infographics and the selection of tools available is huge. There are a set of great templates that are easily customisable and look amazing.
